B J Poore

BJ Poore, 20, of Wichita Falls died Friday, July 30, 2010. Services have been scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at Texoma Cowboy Church officiated by Reverend Jimmy Hatcher of First Baptist Church of Baird, TX. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park directed by Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home.

BJ was born February 20, 1990 in Wichita Falls to Pete and Dawna Poore. He worked for Big Daddy’s Wrecker Service and just recently went to work for Construction Bolt. He was a member of Lake Arrowhead Baptist Church and had been attending Texoma Cowboy Church. BJ loved to hunt and fish and do most anything outdoors, especially anything to do with water. He was a big hearted young man, taking in and caring for stray dogs if they needed a home.

Mr. Poore is preceded in death by his mother, Dawna Beaver; grandfather, Cecil Poore; and uncle, Vaughn Ellison.

Survivors include his parents, Pete and Rita Poore of Wichita Falls; brothers and sister-in-law, Banning and Linda Poore of Wichita Falls, Adam Pallas of College Station, TX, Allen Sosebee of Wichita Falls; sisters and brothers-in-law, Amanda Sanchez of Wichita Falls, Melissa and Bill Little of Mingus, TX, Jodi Marriott of College Station, TX, Jessica Berube of Virginia Beach, VA, Vicki and Chris Richardson of College Station, TX; grandmother, Betty Poore of Nocona, grandparents, Bob and Hazel Beaver of OR; along with several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m., Monday, August 2, 2010 at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home.
