Agnes Germany Davis, 81, of Wichita Falls passed away Saturday, December 20, 2014. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM Monday, December 22, 2014 at the chapel of Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home with Don Cook officiating. Interment will follow in Burkburnett Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 4:00 Sunday afternoon at Hampton Vaughan.
Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Lulu Mae Bell, Aleen Abercrombie, Betty Mills, and Jean Westbrook and a brother, Alton Bell.
Survivors are her son, Glynn A. Germany and wife, Judy of Rio Rancho, NM and a sister, Carolyn Cook and husband, Don of Wichita Falls; also numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Davis was born October 21, 1933 in Wichita Falls, TX to Mack A. and Delcnia Mae (Brister) Bell. She was raised in Burkburnett, TX and had a strong faith in God. Agnes was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wichita Falls and the Rebekah Sunday School Class there. She loved Friday night gatherings at her sister, Carolyn’s home enjoying burgers and playing cards where she and sister, Betty enjoyed beating Carolyn and Don. Agnes loved car racing (Jeff Gordon being her favorite driver) and also loved her dogs, Molly and Pepper.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to Hospice of Wichita Falls, 4909 Johnson Rd., Wichita Falls, TX 76310.
