Ada Walker Carr was born on August 8, 1911 in Midway, Texas to the parentage of Made Walker and Annie Patterson. She attended the Antioch Public Schools. As a child, she was a member of the Antioch Church of Christ. After she moved to Wichita Falls, she joined the Welch Street Church of Christ where she served faithfully for many years. She served as secretary for the Ladies Bible Class for 8 years. Her biggest joy was to entertain the Bible Class in her home. In addition, she was the treasurer for the Annual Ladies Program for many years. She worked with Meals on Wheels; the Sunshine House: and the Church of Christ Bible Chair at Midwestern State University. Sister Carr enjoyed visiting the sick and shut in. She worked at Perkin Timberlake and retired from the State Hospital.
