Susan Diehl Miller

mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on October 10, 2024. She

was predeceased by her husband, Robert Miller, in 2002, and her parents, Agnes (2016) and

Kenneth Diehl (2011). Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on through the

lives she touched. Susan is survived by her two brothers John and Wayne Diehl, her 3 sons,

Robert, David (Kate), and Steven (Kelly), numerous nieces and nephews, dear friends, and the

Whiting community she cherished.

For 29 years, Susan was a proud owner of Bob’s Hardware in Whiting, NJ. Running the

business alongside her two sons, she maintained a true family business atmosphere. Bob’s

Hardware became a community staple, where Susan and the boys greeted customers with a

warm smile and always had time for a friendly chat. Her dedication to her work and the people

she served was a cornerstone of her life, and she formed lasting bonds with many in the

community.

Susan had a deep love for her grandchildren, Jacob, Zachary, and Minnie. Her affection for

them was clear to all who knew her; time spent with them brought a glow to her heart and a

smile to her face.

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024 from 2-5 PM at Anderson &

Campbell Funeral Home, 115 Lacey Rd. Whiting, NJ 08759. A memorial service will begin at 4:15pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her honor to Autism Speaks.
