Robert Michael Miller

Robert Michael Miller, age 74, of Whiting, New Jersey passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at Community Medical Center in Toms River, NJ. Mike, as his family and friends knew him, was born in Carlsbad, NM and lived in the Bronx, NY before moving to Bloomingdale, NJ where he started his family. They settled down in Whiting, NJ in 1997.

Mike loved animals and worked with them his entire life. He began as a dog trainer and had his own dog-training business for many years. He adopted and cared for many dogs throughout his lifetime and passed along his passion for animals to his daughter. Mike especially loved elephants which led him to work at Six Flags Great Adventure Safari in Jackson, NJ for over a decade where he worked his way up to becoming the Elephant Warden.

Mike's greatest love was spending time with his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed.

Mike is predeceased by his nephew, Santi, Jr. He is survived by his mother, Nydia; his daughter, Jennifer and her mother, Dawn; his 3 grandchildren, Keagan, Aubree and Mackenzie; his 2 sisters, Gayle and her husband Craig and Debra and her husband Tony; 1 niece & 2 nephews.

Cremation will be private. There will be a memorial gathering at a later date. Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 115 Lacey Rd. Whiting, NJ is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
