He was born on March 31, 1933 to Peter Nasiatka from Poland and Josephine Jablonski from Delaware
He was a Veteran of the Korean War serving in Wiesbaden, Germany with an anti-aircraft artillery (AAA) division. In 1954 he moved back home and relocated to Linden, NJ to be with his family. His brother John got him a job in as a machinist, where he met his future wife Yolanda who was a legal secretary at the building next door. They married in 1962 and moved to Bloomfield, where they gave birth to two children, Peter and Theresa. In the mid 60’s he was able to get a job with the United States Postal Service where he worked for more than 30 years until retirement in 1992. The family moved to Pine Beach in 1978 then coming to Whiting in 1992. His favorite pastimes were reading, crossword puzzles, pizza Fridays, visiting New York for Broadway shows, and video poker in Atlantic City. Born in "DownNeck" Newark he lived in Linden and Bloomfield and Pine Beach before coming to Whiting in 1992. He was loved very much by his family.
Joe is predeceased by his beloved wife Yolanda in 1998 and predeceased as well as his siblings Walter, John, Alfred, and Florence. He is survived by his children, Peter of Whiting and Theresa and her husband Michael of Pine Beach, NJ.; his loving grandchildren Christopher of Evesham, NJ and Benjamin of Pine Beach as well as his sister Marion Osinski of Belvidere, NJ. He is also survived by many nieces and Nephews.
Visitation will be Tuesday July 2, from 4-8pm and Wednesday 9:15 to 10:15am at Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 115 Lacey Rd. Whiting, NJ 08759. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered at 10:45am from the All Saints Chapel at St Elizabeth Ann Seton RC Church, 30 Schoolhouse Rd. Whiting, NJ 08759. Committal will be 12:30pm at the St Joseph Cemetery, 62 Cedar Grove Rd. Toms River, NJ 08753.
