Joan R. Murray (nee Ullman), Whiting, NJ, February 5, 2015, age 90. Wife of the late Daniel F. Murray; loving mother of Kaysi Weeks (Wayne) and Andrea Miller; grandmother of Brian Haines, Andrew and David Weeks; great-grandmother of Andrea Lewis (Zachary), Mark and Zac Haines; aunt of adoring niece Nancy Flitter.
Joan, a Daughter of the American Revolution, loved life and people. She made friends everywhere. Joan traveled the world through work at Institutes of International Education in New York City, where she was responsible for building schools in several developing nations.
Joan was a leader. She belonged to numerous organations, such as the Traffic Club of New York, for logistics professionals, and most recently the Fernwood Village Women’s Club . Joan was always elected president.
A memorial service will be held for Joan on Saturday, February 14, at 11am, Anderson Campbell Funeral Home, 115 Lacey Road, Whiting, New Jersey. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to:
