Evelyn “Eve” Grace Irizarry, 88, of the Whiting section of Manchester Twp., NJ, was born on March 12, 1932 and went to be with her heavenly father Wednesday, December 2, 2020. She was born to John and Grace Davis, Shevlin, MN and raised in Clearwater County, MN. She attended District 35 County School in Clearwater County, MN. She graduated from Bagley High School, Bagley, MN. Evelyn went on to become a Registered Nurse (RN), graduating from Middlesex County College of NJ, and worked in healthcare for many years before retiring. She resided in New Jersey for most of her life.
Evelyn was a member of Community Reformed Church of Whiting, NJ. She confessed her faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and supported and participated in the life of the church for many years.
Evelyn was predeceased by her husband Efigenio “Keno” Irizarry, a son Martin Oliveri (Judy), brothers Norman Davis (Viola), Gordon Davis (Irene), Richard Davis (Dolly), and sister Doris (Herbert) Piercey. She is survived by her sister Elenora “Toots” Paulson of Shevlin, MN, her son Phillip Oliveri, Jr. (Lenore) of Whiting, NJ; a daughter, Linda Sue Raychel of Indian Lake Estates, FLA; a son Albert (Donna) of Indian Lake Estates, FLA; and a daughter Bobbi Ann Allen of Graniteville, SC. She also is survived by her grandchildren, Kristin Van Buskirk (Dan) of Tulsa, OK; Erin Koos, OKC, OK; Phillip Oliveri III (Linda) of Peckville, PA; Christina Oliveri (Andrea) of Kissimmee, FLA; Robert Raychel (Amanda) of East Brunswick, NJ, Michael Lee Sechrest (Jeff) of Big Spring, TX; Michael Oliveri (Barbara) of Avenel, NJ, and John Oliveri of Ashville, NC. Evelyn leaves behind great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Evelyn was especially close to her niece Nancy Halverson of Shevlin, MN.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Kerri Klena, her long-time friend and caretaker, Colleen Villari, Aggie Sisolak, Laura Morgan, and many other caretakers.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Barnabas Hospice of Toms River NJ, St. Jude’s Hospital, ASPCA, Community Reformed Church, or the organization of your choice. The interment of ashes are scheduled for Tuesday December 15 at 10am from the Memorial Garden at the Community Reformed Church Lacey Rd. Whiting
