William H. Kersten

Bill dedicated his early years to serving his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Stationed in Fort Carson, Colorado, he formed deep bonds with his fellow soldiers, friendships that would last a lifetime. Each year, he and his beloved wife, Theresa, traveled with his military buddies to a new location within the United States, strengthening those connections through shared experiences and cherished memories.

Bill's career in the automotive industry showcased his leadership and expertise. He was well-regarded as a boss who inspired his team and fostered a positive work environment. In 1968, he traveled across the country for a pivotal project involving the GM Station Wagon, demonstrating his commitment to innovation and excellence. His career took his travels overseas to Germany and Korea as well.

Beyond his professional achievements, Bill was a pillar of his community. His zest for life was evident in his love for sports; he was an avid tennis player and proudly participated in the Senior Olympics, as well as enjoyed playing senior softball.

Bill had a passion for travel, often embarking on adventures with Theresa in their Nomads Travel Group exploring new places and cultures together. Their bond was an inspiration to all who knew them, a testament to love, partnership, and shared exploration.

Along with his loving wife Theresa, he is survived by his children Kevin (Rose) Kersten, Karen Kersten, Kristin (Nick) Blitz, and Greg Fader; grandchildren Andrew, Aiden, and Corinne; and brother Robert (Pat) Kersten.
