Joyce Ann Blankenship

Joyce is survived by her husband of 40 years, George Blankenship and four children: Juanita Barrilleaux, Kenneth Berthelot, Barbara Aucoin, and Cassey Mayeux, her sisters: Barbara Guillot and Karen Hebert, and her brother Mervin Hebert. She had 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Eva Hebert, her brother Leslie Hebert, and her beloved son, Don Barrilleaux.

She loved providing support to those in need through her presence and food. She loved travelling, playing bingo, visiting with friends and family, and dancing to cajun music.

In her last years of life, she just wanted to be with her family. She often grieved the loss of her loved ones and is now rejoined with them in heaven.

She can now rest high on that mountain. Her work on earth is done.

The family would like to thank St. Joseph’s hospice care for all their help and support during our trying times.

A private memorial will be held with the family at a later date.
