Aline Babin Daigle

She was born on June 7, 1936 in Brignac, LA. Aline was married to her loving husband, Herd Daigle Jr., for 51 years. A longtime resident of White Castle, LA, she dedicated most of her life to being a housewife and raising her five children. She was an awesome cook and loved taking care of all her beautiful plants and flowers in her yard. She enjoyed playing cards with family and going to the Casino with her husband and other family members. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her faithful and loyal four-legged companion, Sophia.

Aline is survived by one son and daughter in law, Darrell and Elaine Daigle, White Castle; two daughters, Arlene Daigle, Addis, and Donna Daigle Soileau, Schriever and daughter in law, Cindy Daigle, Addis; eleven grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herd Jr.; and two sons, Audie and Neil Daigle; her parents, Ellis and Lucille Sanchez Babin, Sr.; her seven brothers, Ellis Jr., Virgil, Phillip, Whitney, Alvis, Aubrey, and Ivy Babin; her two sisters, Iona Babin All and Grace Babin Gordon.

The family would like to thank Thibodaux Regional Medical Center Emergency Room and Hospital staff, St. Joseph Hospice, as well as the Carpenter House staff for the excellent care she received from all of the facilities. Special thanks are given to her loving and caring sitters: Patsy Wyre, Judy Trahan, and Holly Cameron.

Visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home in White Castle, LA on Friday, February 24, 2023 from 9am until Mass of Christian Burial at 12pm at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, White Castle with Reverend Alec Sheldon as the Celebrant. Entombment in White Castle Mausoleum.
