Yvonne Norene Sparn

Yvonne passed away peacefully in Louisville, CO. on Saturday, August 5, 2023. She was 91 years old. She fought Alzheimer’s for many years while keeping a positive attitude and always bringing a smile to those around her. She was born April 24, 1932, in Eveleth, MN. She married Henry Arne Rintala in Eveleth, MN in 1950 and has 3 children Michele, Gregory and Terry. Later she married Marvin Sparn in Boulder CO. in 1988. She worked as a legal secretary for most of her working life for many different companies, along with having some fun being a model. She lived in Eveleth MN as well as Denver, Arvada, and Boulder, CO. She adored being with all her Kids, Grandkids and Great Grandkids, enjoyed traveling, following the Denver Broncos and CU Buffalos, reading, cooking, knitting, life and laughter!

She is survived by her husband Marvin Sparn of Boulder, 3 children: Michele Rintala Gisness (Jim) Wheat Ridge, CO; Gregory Rintala (Ellen Stanley) Scottsdale, AZ and Terry Rintala (Laura) Arvada, CO. 3 step-children: Mark Sparn (Gwen) Boulder, CO; Michele Ely (Mike) Peoria, AZ; and Marla Meehl (Gerald) Boulder, CO. 5 Grandchildren: Gia Rintala Witmer (Jeremy), Jamie Rintala [decd], Bryson Rintala (Kristin), Natalie Gisness, Derek Gisness [decd] (Holly) and Janie Rintala Wrenn (Chase). 3 step-grandchildren: Jennifer Sheets (Brian), Megan Kulp (Aaron) and Ben Ely (Samantha). 13 Great Grandchildren: Codie Witmer, Caelan Rintala, Mhari Rintala, Maiya Witmer, Sienna Gisness, Amalie Rintala, Ryder Gisness, Avery Sheets, Clay Sheets, Carter Kulp, Elyse Kulp, Raven Ely, Zosia Ely. She was preceded in death by first husband Henry Rintala; grandsons Derek Gisness and Jamie Rintala.

Her memorial service will be held at 2:30pm on Friday September 8, 2023, at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary & Cemetery, 7777 W. 29th Ave in Wheat Ridge, CO. where she will also be interred. Dr. Lester Bundy will be the officiant for the service. There will be an informal reception immediately following the service. Interment will be at 2:00pm before the memorial service. This is for immediate family members only because of space constraints.
