Tom Meitler, 81, devoted husband, father, and family man of God, passed away on April 17th 2024, at United Hospital in Longmont of health complications. After a few weeks in the hospital he went home to be with Jesus.
Tom was born on the border of California and Oregon and raised in Sylvan Grove Kansas.
Tom is survived by his wife of 62 years Joan Meitler, his sons Bill (David), Steve (Seana), and Kenny (Denise).
Tom leaves behind 6 grandchildren, Elana, Brennan, Ryan, Megan, Sasha and Ally and 7 great grandchildren Leilani, Kai, Malia, Zelda, Kaiden, Brady, and Anna.
Tom loved teasing his three sons when they were young and into adulthood, at least until they were able to dish it back, all in fun. I don't know how mom put up with all four of her children, Tom being the forth.
Tom loved the outdoors especially his lawn care business. It always reminded him of when he lived on the farm in Kansas. He loved family especially all the grand and great grandchildren telling them stories of the Christmas fish and talking like Donald duck.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
