Thomas Duane Hosman, age 93, of Golden, Colorado, passed away peacefully with family and loved ones by his side on June 12, 2022. Tom was born on November 5, 1928 in Canon City, Colorado to Thomas and Olive Hosman and graduated from Canon City High School in 1946 and then went on to serve in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. Once honorably discharged, he started his college career at Pueblo Community College and completed his degree in accounting at the University of Denver. While attending Pueblo Community College, he met his wife Betty of 65 years. Upon graduation, he worked for King Soopers as Vice President of Finance for 30 years until his retirement in 1989. In retirement, Tom enjoyed spending time with family, traveling, wintering in Palm Desert, California and playing golf.
He was predeceased by his parents, his brother Roy Hosman, his son Thomas Hosman, his daughter Terri (Hosman) Vecchiarelli.
He is survived by his loving wife Betty, his son Stan (Kristy) of Broomfield, Colorado. He had six grandchildren, Andreya (Jim) Flanigan, Sonya (Kyle) Tetu, Trevor Hosman, Alexandra (Brian) Felberg, Paige Hosman and Cassie van de Boogaard; five great grandchildren, Mason, Harper, Dominic Flanigan, Knox, Brynn and an expected baby Tetu.
A funeral service for Tom will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at the Chapel of Peace at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary & Cemetery, 7777 West 29th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033. Interment will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery, with a reception following in the chapel. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Tom’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
