Terry Raymond Thill

Terry Raymond Thill, age 77, of Denver, Colorado passed away on Tuesday, April 18th, 2023. Terry was born in Dell Rapids, South Dakota to Eva and Lawrence Thill. Terry was survived by his children, Michael Thill (Desirae Conzemius) of Sioux Falls SD, Laura Pownell of Sioux Falls SD, Michelle (Elias Herrera) of Denver CO, Colleen Williams (Chris) of Colorado Springs CO, and John Lennon of Parker CO. His siblings, William Thill (Sheryl) of Fort Collins CO, Gene Thill (Jakie) of Sioux Falls SD, Dwaine Thill (Joan) of Sioux Falls SD, Elaine Klundt (Dick) of Lakewood CO, Cletus Thill (Dodie) of Lakewood CO, and Derrell Thill (Glena) of Sioux Falls SD. 7 grandchildren Kylee Pownell, Sherae Conzemius, Trevor Pownell, Ashton Harvey, Aria Herrera, Eli Williams, and Atticus Lennon. Along with 1 great grandchild Dawson Harvey.

Terry received his high school diploma from Washington Sr. High in Sioux Falls SD in 1966. Following his graduation, he enlisted into the United States Navy on January 16th, 1967. He completed his recruitment training March 30th, 1967, where he was then stationed on the USS Hornet from April 28th, 1967 to June 22nd, 1970. Terry was one of the seamen to witness the splash down and recovery of Apollo 11 and 12. After the USS Hornet, he went on sea tour on the USS Kitty Hawk from July 18th, 1970 to October 15th, 1970. Terry completed his service and was Honorably discharged from the Navy on January 15th, 1973.

Shortly after he was discharged, he moved to Fort Collins CO. where he then started his family.

Preceded in death by his parents Eva and Lawrence Thill and siblings Geraldine Scholl (Marvin), Marion Thill, and Thomas Thill.

A committal service - friends & family will gather at staging area "a" for Terry will be held Tuesday, April 25th, 2023 at 9:00 AM at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 4400 W Kenyon Ave, Denver, Colorado 80236. A memorial service will occur Tuesday, April 25th, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Olinger Crown Hill Chapel of Peace, 7777 West 29th Ave, Wheat Ridge, Colorado 80033. A reception following the service will occur Tuesday, April 25th, 2023 at BC's Sports Pub, 6501 W. Mississippi Ave., Lakewood, CO 80226.
