Robert Allen Bramlett (Bob), 73, of Aurora, Colorado, passed away on September 14, 2024. Born on August 20, 1951 in Denver, Colorado, he was a devoted husband to Therese Bramlett, whom preceded him in death and a loving father to Matthew Bramlett.
Bob was hard-working and dedicated. As a young adult, he spent many years designing, and building golf courses in Colorado. As his years went on, he found success in the telecommunications industry between IBM and Centura Health, where he was known for his problem-solving skills and willingness to tackle any size project. Despite his many responsibilities, he always made time to attend his son’s many sporting activities, games and was an active supporter of his son’s path to Eagle Scout, where he served as Scoutmaster and Unit Commissioner for the Denver Area Council.
Bob’s hobbies and interests helped define who he was. While his son was growing up, Bob enjoyed golfing, father/son trips to the mountains, fishing, coaching his son’s sports teams and taking in the occasional Air Force Falcon Football game, together. Bob had a love for animals, whether it be the family cat or man’s best friend, Bob’s son recalls that he can’t remember a time when his father did not have a German Shepherd or a Chocolate Lab as part of his family. On many occasions, if there was a dog at a family gathering…So was Bob.
Bob would often spend his weekends, playing fetch with his chocolate lab, Sadie, enjoying time at the family cabin near Fairplay, Colorado or sitting down to enjoy a sports game on TV.
Bob’s love for the Denver Broncos, Denver Nuggets and the NCAA College Basketball March Madness Tournament is something he shared with his son. Every year, they would compare predictions on how each season would go and even compare their picks for the tournament winner. His love for sports which he shared with his son, will leave a lasting mark that will never fade.
Bob is survived by his son Matthew (Monique) and his five grandkids (Hope, Kaylee, Jordan, Ethan and Jamison) along with his brother, William (Sharon) and sister Kathy (Scott) and numerous nieces and nephews, as well as many friends and extended family members who will miss him dearly. Bob was a man of many words, generosity, love, acceptance and kindness, and he left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him, it is only fitting that his long years of fatherly love be honored.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 30, 2024 at 11:00 am at Spirit of Christ Catholic Community, 7400 W. 80th Avenue, Arvada, Co 80003. Inurnment will follow at Olinger Crown Hill Cemetery & Mortuary, 7777 W. 29th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, Co 80033.
We find comfort in knowing that Bob’s legacy lives on through the lessons he taught us, the love he gave, and the memories we share, which will be cherished forever.
