Pat attended Central High School in Omaha, NE and then went to work for the Omaha World Herald newspaper occasionally writing special feature articles. Pat was introduced to her soon be husband Russ on a blind date. They were married in Omaha, NE in December of 1957 and shortly thereafter moved to Denver, CO as Russ was a pilot for United Airlines. After realizing how much they truly loved living in the beautiful state of Colorado they decided to move to a suburban area which later was incorporated as the city of Wheat Ridge.
Pat was very actively involved in the upbringing of her three children and was active in many neighborhood and school activities including PTA. The Field Drive family was a fantastic group of neighbors that Pat and Russ shared many holidays with most notably Christmas caroling and Fourth of July parades through the neighborhood. She was also a member of Wheat Ridge United Methodist church and taught Sunday school for several years with her very dear friend Marion Haley. Pat, along with Russ and the kids, loved to travel all over the world and took trips to the Middle East, Europe and a great many other destinations. One of their favorite trips across the wide, blue ocean was to visit with their very close and long time friends, the Cotton family, in Hawaii.
Patricia’s life will be memorialized and remembered in a service on Saturday October 5, 2019 at 10:00 AM in the Olinger Crown Hill Chapel located in Wheat Ridge, CO.
