R. Margie Phillips Hamlyn passed away 14 February 2024 peacefully at her home in Lakewood, Colorado at the age of 88.
  Graveside service to celebrate Margie’s life will be at Crown Hill Cemetery at 1pm on 23 March 2024.
 She is survived by her three cherished grandchildren- Ally Hamlyn, Mandy Towns and Lance Adams, as well as four children-Susan, Chris, Wes and Mark. In addition, Margie is survived by her niece; Sharon Durbin, grandniece; Sarah Rinehart and great-grandniece; Mila Rinehart.
 Margie was born in Colorado to William “Archie” Phillips and Mary Lemons Phillips. She had three older siblings; Wilbur, Virginia and Marvin. Her parents and siblings preceded her in death.
 Margie worked at the University of Denver supporting professors and students in the Law School, graduate and undergraduate programs.
 Her love of music was integral to Margie’s life. She was a member of her church choir and was featured as a vocalist on numerous occasions. Music and faith were driving forces for Margie throughout her life. She was a long-standing member of her local Eastern Star chapter.
 Margie Hamlyn’s devotion to family and friends, love of reading and sense of humor will be deeply missed.
