Lorraine was born March 13,1932 in Chicago, Illinois to parents Hervey and Angeline. As a young girl she moved with her family to Golden, Colorado. She was the oldest of five siblings. She met the love of her life, Elmer Johann. They were married January 8, 1949. They settled down in the rural Golden area where they lived for over 40 years before moving to Brighton in 1992.
Lorraine devoted her life to nurturing her children and creating a warm and loving home for her family. She was blessed with her six children, Jeanette Krizman (Gene), Bernadette Papi (Ron), Elmer Johann Jr. (Vicki), Colette Dutton (Harold), Kurt Johann (Lydia), Brian Johann (Dena); 10 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
Lorraine loved going camping and fishing. She enjoyed visiting with family and friends. Whether gathered to play Pinochle or Aggravation, or to share a meal, a snack, a dessert (her favorite!) or just a cup of coffee, there was joy and laughter involved. She loved hearing stories of her loved ones’ exploits, especially those of the grandkids and great-grandkids and the pets.
Lorraine was a kind, caring, beautiful and unconditionally loving person, Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother, Sister and Friend. She will be deeply missed but live in our hearts always.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Lorraine's memory may be made to Alzheimer's Association, www.alz.org.
