Laurel Elaine Waggoner

Laurel Elaine Waggoner, 60, August 28, 1961 - May 28, 2022 passed away in her home from natural causes. Laurel, an alum of Arvada West High School '79, participated in Company West, a vocal performance group, where her beautiful soprano voice was enjoyed by many. She had a deep appreciation for the arts her entire life.

She spent most of her adult life working various jobs in retail, customer service and human resources, where her gift of talking to anyone about anything gave her the ability to connect with so many on a personal level.

Her laugh was infectious. She was always up for a good laugh and she'd be ready to share cute kid/animal videos that made her smile or chuckle. She loved her nieces and nephews and took her role as Aunt seriously.

Then, of course, she adored her kitties! Her sweet Katy Cat was with her to the very end and has already found a new loving home.

She was preceded in death by her mother Joan Waggoner, and niece Kathie Spohn Zarnes. She is survived by her father and stepmother, Wendell and Charla Waggoner, sister Wendy Osborn (Shawn), step brother Randy Hodges (Julia) and step sister Sharon Spohn(Scott); nieces and nephews: Cristy, Amy, Whitney, Mike, and Collin; great nieces and nephews: Brenton, Malachi, Gabriel, Zachary, Willow, Aspen, and Forrest.

In line with her love for animals, she would appreciate you supporting The Humane Society of South Platte Valley (coloradogives.org/hsspv) in her name, in lieu of flowers. A private memorial will be held in July. We will miss you forever! We love you always!
