Jo Ann Marie Davis, aged 84, passed away at home on April 13, 2020. She was born in Denver, Colorado, on June 23, 1935, to Carl and Odessa Thornbrough, and lived all of her life in the Denver area, other than a few years in California while a navy wife.
She married David Ledger shortly after graduating from North Denver high school and had three children, Stephen Scott, Jeffery Lane and Laura Lynn (Miller). She then married David Davis, who raised her children and the marriage lasted 37 years until his early death in 2001. She later married Leonard Hawley (a widower) and enjoyed many years with him until his death in 2018.
She is survived by her brother, Ted Thornbrough, her three children and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, husbands, older sister, Lenora (Lynn) Noble and step-brother, Dan Cotter.
Jo Ann worked at various jobs during her lifetime, with her final employment of more than 30 years as a secretary and board member for Faris Machinery Company in Commerce City.
She maintained a home of love in the suburbs of Denver and that home was always welcoming of family and friends. She was loved by all.
