It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Holly Sue Kennedy in Arvada, Colorado. She was diagnosed with a glioblastoma in June of 2022, and after a hard fought battle, she passed away on January 31st.
She spent her career as an administrative assistant and secretary, most recently in corporate development at Coors Brewing Company, and retired in 2006. She spent her retirement traveling, and working on her passions, including deep research into her and others’ family history, genealogy, and ancestry. She also wrote several books on these topics, many of which have been accepted to various libraries and historical research organizations.
She is survived by her son Joe Kennedy and daughter in law Jodie, as well as her sister Laurel Saunders and brother in law Steve, as well as her nephews Reed and Lee Saunders and their families. She was predeceased by her parents, Richard and Merna Shacklett.
