She will be remembered for many things, mother, wife, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, teacher, and most of all, friend.
She leaves behind her husband, David, three children, 9 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and one surviving sister out of a large family.
Edyth worked many years as a pre-school teacher, was involved in her church, was an officer in the Wheat Ridge Grange, and was honored to be countess of the Wheat Ridge Carnation Festival. She enjoyed camping, fishing, and was a fierce croquet player.
She was given 81 years on this earth — 81 years of joy, sadness, hard-work, friendships, love, compassion, gentleness, and yes, especially near the end, pain; but 81 years, of life. Some knew her only briefly, others, especially her husband of over 63 years, knew her for more years than not. But, all were touched by her life. Although often quiet, sometimes private, and reserved, she warmed the hearts of those who knew her.
She will be missed. But, she will be remembered; whether for her kindness, her spunk, her sarcasm, or her wonderful humor.
