Don W. Cole

Donald William Cole, age 88, passed away October 1, 2020 at home. Don was born August 9, 1932 in Denver, Colorado. He graduated from North High School and then enlisted in the Navy in 1949 where he served as an airman during both Korea and Vietnam. Don retired December 1, 1976 having achieved the rank of E-9 Master Chief. He married Arvilla Virginia Rakow in Denver on March 28, 1954, they have two children Joni (Cole) Crask and Gary Cole. The family lived all over the world following Don's naval career, in 1976 they returned to Denver. Don went to work for Martin Marietta from whom he later retired. Don and Arvilla loved to travel, they began skiing in their 50's which they often did with their grandchildren. They also kept active with bowling, golf and attending the theater.

Don is survived by his wife of 66 years Arvilla Cole; children Joni (Randy) Crask and Gary (Cheryl) Cole; grandchildren: Brian Ramos, Brittany (Tristin) Murphy, Nathaniel (Jessica) Crask, Brandy Hutchcraft and Erin Crask; great grandchildren: Xavier, Jayden, Kennedy, Colvin, Asher, Owen, Harper-Lynn and Zander and siblings Michael Cole and Sandra Cole.
