Debbie passed away peacefully at her home in Lakewood on December 21, 2021, at the age of 64. She was surrounded by her family her who supported her as she battled cancer. Throughout her illness she maintained a positive attitude and enjoyed her time she shared with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband David of 38 years of marriage. Her father and mother, Thomas and Sylvia Duncan, her sister Jeannie and husband Jerry Wick, their daughter Amanda and her three children Orin, Bella, and Leila. Her sister Suzy and her daughter Tia and grandson Johnathan. Her sister Teri and husband James Lee, and their daughter Candace and her children Madison and Justin James (JJ). Her brother Tommy and his wife Liz and their daughters Alex and Devynn. Debbie had over 40 nieces and nephews and 3 great grandnieces.
Debbie grew up in Lakewood with a large extended family. She graduated from Lakewood High School in 1975. She retired from the Federal Government after almost 35 years of service. Debbie enjoyed gardening and listening to country music. She and David were members of St. Rose of Catholic Church for over 40 years. She worked there as the Parish Secretary and dedicated many hours there as a volunteer. In her retirement she enjoyed gardening, traveling and being with family and friends. She was an avid puzzle builder.
Funeral services will be held on January 12th at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 355 S. Navajo St, Denver, CO at 10:30 followed with a graveside service at Olinger Crown Hill Cemetery. A reception will be held in the Crown Hill reception hall following the graveside service. In lieu of flowers the family asks that a donation be made to St. Rose of Lima Catholic Parish.
