It is with heavy hearts and profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Cindy Mauree Slavik (Ritzdorf), a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She departed this world on November 18, 2023 in Denver, Colorado, surrounded by the love of her family at just 46 years old.
Born on April 16, 1977 in Denver, Cindy was the cherished daughter of Bob and Birdie Ritzdorf. Throughout her life, she radiated warmth, kindness, and an unwavering love for those fortunate enough to be a part of her world. Cindy touched the lives of many with her infectious laughter, gentle spirit, and the genuine care she showered upon others.
Cindy is survived by her devoted husband, John, with whom she shared several years of love and companionship. Together, they created a home filled with love, laughter, dogs, and countless cherished memories of fishing, camping, and traveling. Cindy also loved her three dogs, Lexi, Peyton, and Chase very much.
Cindy's love extended to her two sons, Ryan and Aaron, who meant the world to her. She was a dedicated and loving mother, always putting her family's needs above her own.
Cindy is also survived by her parents, Bob and Birdie, as well as her brother Terry. In addition to her immediate family, Cindy is survived by her niece, Meranda and her children Za’Mauree and Terryn, whom she adored. Her love for family extended to the next generation, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those she influenced.
Cindy leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and the importance of family bonds. Cindy's memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Cindy's life was a testament to the power of love, strength, compassion, and selflessness. Her absence leaves a void that can never be filled, but her spirit will live on in the countless lives she touched. As we mourn the loss of a remarkable woman, let us also celebrate the beauty of the life she lived and the love she shared.
A memorial service to honor Cindy Slavik will be held on Saturday, December 2nd 2023 at 10:00am to 2:00pm at 7777 W 29th Ave (Crown Hill Mortuary and Cemetery) in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, where friends and family can gather to share memories and support one another during this difficult time.
