Learned to fly Piper Cub Single Engine Planes
Flew in B17, B25, B26 & B24
Trained in B24 to fly in B29, Flight Engineer
Got out of the service in 1946
Worked for Safeway for 7 years, Miller Super Market National Tea for 22 years, King Soopers for 10 years
Retired from King Soopers in 1985. Total years in the grocery business was 39 years.
Kathryn Lynch and Charles were married in 1946. They were married for 67 years prior to her death in 2011. She gave him three sons; Charles, George, and Joe. Charles also preceded him in death along with his siblings; Jeanne Burroughs and Glen Cameron. He is survived by his sons; George (Geraldine), and Joe( Susie), six grandchildren; Anthony, Christopher, Matthew, Rebecca, Andrew, Alexander and three great- grandchildren; Colton, Sophie, and Laura. Charles is also survived by his sister; Kat Noel.
Charles and Kathryn lived at 1716 Geneva Street., Aurora, CO then moved to 2241 Wyndot Dr., Denver, CO where they lived for 50 years.
They took vacations in the following places:
Seattle World Fair, New York World Fair
Knoxville, TN World Fair
Took Concord to England, QE2 Back to the U.S.A.
Trips to all 50 states
Disneyland, California & Disney World, Florida
Canada, Mexico and Alaska many times
Panama Canal, Costa Rica, Cuba, Hawaii
Camen Islands, Nicaragua.
