Carole was born October 19, 1941 to Clarice and Fred Paulson in Drayton, North Dakota and grew up in Denver, Colorado. Carole graduated from North High School in 1959 and married the love of her life, Kenneth McDonald, on February 19th, 1961.
Carole will be greatly missed by her husband of nearly 63 years, her three children, Kenny, Rhonda and Paul, her two daughters-in-law, Tomoko and Christa, and her three grandchildren, Alex, Zoe and Anna.
She will also be missed by the members of her long time quilting bee. Carole was an active member of the quilting community in the Denver area and was a long standing member of the Colorado Quilting Council and Arapahoe County Quilters. In 1993 she was honored by CQC when one of her quilts was shown in an exhibit at the Colorado State Capitol.
The family would like to thank Sandalwood Manor, a skilled nursing facility, and Namaste Hospice for the loving care they provided Carole the last year and a half of her life.
A date has yet to be set for a memorial service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Dementia Society of America (www.dementiasociety.org) or Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org).
