Betty Mae (Gibson) Karlstrum passed away peacefully in her sleep, on Monday, December 11th, 2024, at the age of 93. She was born December 8, 1931, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to the late Samuel David Gibson and Anna Catherine Mclndoo.
She started working at the age of 12 during the war delivering food trays in a Psychiatric Hospital in Spokane Washington. She also worked for CE Carlstrom store in Pine Bluffs, Wyoming where she met Del. She had numerous jobs before going to Keebler starting in the lab and worked her way up to management before retiring after 25 years. She then started working full time with her husband Delmar as distributors for Amsoil. They were members of the Good Sam's Club and enjoyed traveling around the United States. They visited every state except Hawaii by motorhome or camper. She enjoyed camping, motorcycle riding, and watching everyone waterskiing and having fun with family and friends in the outdoors. She was a longtime member of Twin Peaks Seventh Adventist Church where she was a Deaconess. Delmar and Betty were married on March 28, 1948. They were married just 3 months shy of 70 years. Delmar passed away in 2017.
Betty is survived by her children, Judy L. Hensley, Gerald A. Karlstrum, and Kevin (Becky) Karlstrum. Nine grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 sisters, 5 brothers, her husband, 1 daughter and 1 son.
