Anita Lucille Garcia

Anita Garcia passed away on November 29, 2023. Survived by 6 children, Rochelle Gomez and her wife Angela Gomez, Robert Gurule and his wife Nanette Gurule, Dalene Rodriguez and her wife Jonquil (Jackie) Rodriguez, Dominic Gurule, Danielle Morello, Ramona Morello, 19 Grandchildren, Anthony Nuanes, Jessica Rodriguez, Maricella Gurule, Doreen Abad, Brittney Abad, Mariah Gurule, Jazmin Gurule, Krisette Vigil, Alyssa Gurule, Shaniah Plaster, Saraiah Gurule, Destiny Aragon, Randy Duran, Valentino Duran, Emiliano Espinoza, Nehemiah Batchelder, Anthony Duran, Michael Avila, EJ Morello, Keziah Chavez, 12 great grandchildren, Rayah Nuanes, Nevina Nuanes, Sage Rylee Rodriguez, Lelani Martinez, Olivia Green, Casias Duran, Damien Avila, Anthony Werner, Jordan Werner, Anahi Arellano, Elias Arellano, Amaya Arellano, Sister Rebecca (Becky) Gutierrez-Elkerton, brother Rudolph (Rudy) Garcia and many nieces and nephews and grandchildren through marriage.

Anita is preceded in death by her son Pete Gurule, father, Rudolph Garcia, mother Rachel Garcia, brother James (Jim) Garcia and great grand child Jayy Junior Gurule Guerra (baby jayy) .

In life the most important things to Anita were her family and God. She was committed to her church and her faith. She taught special education catechism at St. Catherine of Sienna for 17 years. Anita loved gardening, the mountains, fishing, reading and watching Harry Potter movies.

Viewing will begin at 4:00 p.m., Rosary at 5:00 p.m., on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church, 4200 Federal Blvd., Denver, CO 80211. Burial will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, 12801 W. 44th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033.
