Waldemar Allen “Al” Schultz was born to Waldemar “Bill” Schultz and Helen C. (nee Allen) Schultz on June 8, 1933, in Denver, CO. He spent his entire life, save for his time in the army in Denver. He loved Colorado and never wanted to leave.
Al graduated from East High School and went to work for Mountain Bell Telephone. Soon after he went to serve in the US Army in the Artillery Division, where he manually figured trajectories for the 155 Howitzer Cannon during the Korean War.
He met Frances “Frankie” Seder shortly after returning from Korea and they were married, on May 29, 1956. They started their family and bought a house north of Denver where he lived until his death.
After the Army, he returned to his job at Mountain Bell and through the years advanced from climbing poles to retiring in 1985 in a management position. During his working years, he enjoyed time with his family camping and seeing National Parks in their camper.
Once the girls graduated, he and Frankie continued to travel, and, as long-time season ticket holders for the Denver Broncos, they attended several away games, including a Super Bowl. They were fond of going to Las Vegas in the early fall and could also be found up the mountain in Black Hawk.
Waldemar “Al” Schultz was preceded in death by his wife, Frances “Frankie”, his daughter Kathleen Virginia and son-in-law Patrick Manguso, his father Waldemar “Bill” Schultz, and his mother Helen Whelan.
He is survived by his daughter Kristine Fazzi, grandson Nick Fazzi, granddaughter Angela Fazzi, great-granddaughter Kaitlyn Fazzi, great-grandson Dylan Fazzi, nieces, nephews, chosen family, and many friends.
