Trefry, Phyllis Marion – 82, Weymouth, passed away March 16, 2011 in Digby General Hospital. Born in Brighton, Digby Co., Phyllis was a daughter of the late Harry and Beulah (Hazelton) Cosman. Phyllis will be forever remembered for her quilts, knitted slippers and mittens; and for her delicious cooking. Phyllis was a member of Riverside Baptist Church. She was an agent for Heritage Memorials. Phyllis is survived by her daughter Jane Goodwin, Terrace, BC; sons George (Shelly), Kentville; Leroy, Weymouth; Neil (Debbie), Weymouth; brother Scott (Rita) Cosman, niece Pam Cosman; grandchildren Loretta Del Vecchio, Josh Trefry, Russell Trefry, Danny Trefry, Craig Trefry, Kevin Trefry, four great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, Phyllis was predeceased by her husband Vernon Trefry. Visitation will be held 7-9pm Friday in Jayne’s Funeral Home (245-2525), Weymouth. Funeral will be 2pm Saturday in Bethel Baptist Church, Ashmore. Rev. Fred Bigelow officiating. Interment in Riverside Cemetery, Weymouth North. Reception to follow.
