To Lorraine’s family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Lorraine was a very elegant, graceful stylish lady. I got to know her through the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League-Canada of the Regina area. She was secretary while I was president and she was a true support! She was a strong supporter of this mission/fellowship organization, a quiet Christian whose talents of sewing helped others. She was a cheerleader for many, encouraging others to take on a role. We chatted during Covid and I was collecting ideas of what others were doing to keep busy - she was reading (thanks to innovative ways from the town librarian) and sewing! She sent me a prayer shawl during a health concern that I cherish. I thank God for giving her to us, touching our lives! May God strengthen and comfort you in His promises during this time.

Jeff and Penny and families - I'm so sorry to hear of your mother's passing. She was such an active member of the Ogema community and contributed so much during her lifetime - she will be missed by many. I remember her from my school days as a very stylish dresser who could be a stern disciplinarian - if necessary.  She was one of the last survivors of her generation from Key West.

To the Iverson family, I am so very sorry to hear of the loss of your mother and grandmother. Mrs. Iverson was a remarkable teacher and always a very classy, stylishly turned out woman.  Mrs. Iverson certainly did know how to manage a classroom of wild, unmannerly, hormonally-distracted brats! What a career she had, turning out remarkable spellers, embedding a love of reading in so many Ogema pupils. Thanks to Mrs. Iverson, I , myself, and my children, as a result of her teaching gifts, are blessed to be literature, grammar and spelling fans. She was a role model for me in what a strong, self-confident woman looked and behaved like. She was instrumental in my development far past her admirable educational influences.  We were blessed to have had her influence in our formative years.  I will pray for her.

We got to know Lorraine when she was on the board of the Deep South Personal Care Home and what a great contribution she made there! An amazing lady!

My deepest condolences. Lorraine was my teacher throughout high school and I remember those years fondly.  She was our neighbour and family friend. Blessings to all.

I’m so sorry for your loss. 
Mrs. Iversen was my favourite teacher and Lorraine became  a wonderful friend. I have so many memories of her in school, but so many more of the time she spent with me during the months I lived with her.
My favourite thing about her was that she’d share her books. She would always tell me that she didn’t care what I read as long as I was reading. She inspired a lifelong love of reading and I really do think of her every time I open a new book. 
She touched my heart. May she rest in peace.

I am sending huge hugs to all the family and all of her dear friends,  Lorraine had a huge impact on my life, from being a student that adored her and how she gave 100 % every single day before class, after class and within our community.  Someone that can never be matched for sure.  She shared stories of her earlier days with me alot, taught me to file and paint my nails and hers too haha.  I remember the days each grandchild was born, I believe this was her turning point in life she had little people!!! and loved every single one unconditionally.  The stories of each one as they reached a milestone in life.  Simply amazing!  I remember so many bowling days as an adult she loved a good competition always.  As I became a Mom she was so proud of me and that I stepped up for Kelsey, My friend and I will miss her forever and ever.  My Mom and her also shared a special bond, and I am sure they will have some messy fries and giggle about the latest history they have uncovered(They thought they were Private Investigators) and plan the next big meal they will cook together for the Museum.  I thank the Dear Lord we were blessed with her on this earth for almost a Century!  Take Care and Blessings to All

So sorry to hear of Lorraine’s passing. She was  a wonderful lady who not only taught me but also taught me to teach as I did one of my teaching practicums with her in Ogema. I learned so much and went on to teach for 37 years as a result.

I am so sorry to hear of Lorraine's passing. I remember the days she subbed at the school when we desperately needed help. She hadn't been in the classroom for quite some time but she marched around with a metre stick like she hadn't missed a day. She was such a great lady.

Deepest sympathy to all of Lorraine’s family. She was an exceptional teacher and will be deeply missed. I will be unable to attend the service as I am away that weekend. Hugs to all 🙏🏻❤️

Lorraine and I go back many years as she boarded at my Dad and Mom’s place when she taught at Key West school. My brother and I were ring bearer and flower girl at her wedding as well. She was my teacher in Grade 10 to 12 when I went to school in Ogema. I was also on the Deep South Pioneer Museum board when she was also a board member until she moved to Regina.  She will be remembered by many for many reasons as she volunteered for so many organizations. She was awarded the Sask Volunteer Medal in 2020 for her many contributions to the organizations.
