Dale Allen Raymond

1959 ~ 2015

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Dale. Dale was born in Weyburn, Saskatchewan on December 17, 1959 to Ivan and Irene Raymond. He took his schooling in Weyburn and eventually became employed at Long’s Equipment. Dale also held a job and Esso and would eventually own and operate Weyburn Taxi for many years. He also volunteered his time with the Relay for Life and the Canadian Cancer Society for several years. Dale loved to spend time with his family. He was a proud father and had even greater pride and joy with the arrival of his granddaughter, Josie May. Dale especially enjoyed taking her to the Therapeutic Animal Park to sit and feed the bunnies. Dale took great pride as well in gardening skills and kept a well -manicured yard. He was also an avid hunter and had several pet cats. Dale is predeceased by his parents, Ivan and Irene Raymond; son, Andrew Orville Raymond, brother, Derrell Raymond, brother-in-law, Richard (Dick) Holland and nephew, Joie Maas. He leaves to mourn, his daughter, Stacy Raymond (Gavin Day); daughter, Kristen Raymond (Lyle Hall); granddaughter, Josie May Hall, all of Weyburn, Saskatchewan; sisters, Vada Holland of Creighton, SK, Elaine (Elmer) Erixon of Weyburn, SK and Bonnie (Larry) Bergdahl of Moose Jaw, SK; nieces and nephews, Allen and Gary Holland of Creighton, SK; Sandra Maas of Weyburn, SK; Ron (Loni) Erixon of Vernon, BC; Susan (Dale) C0ad of Weyburn, SK; Robert Erixon of Macklin, SK; James (Tara) Bergdahl of Moose Jaw, SK; Bradly Bergdahl of Moose Jaw, SK; Brent (Heather) Bergdahl of Moose Jaw, SK; Kimberly (Jeff) Downy of Moose Jaw and all of their families as well as several aunts, uncles, great nieces and great nephews. A Memorial Service was held on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. from Grace United Church, Weyburn, SK with Reverend John Ferrier officiating. Honourary Pallbearers are all those in attendance. Interment at Hillcrest Cemetery, Weyburn, SK. Donations in memory of Dale may be made to the Weyburn Humane Society or the Canadian Cancer Society.
