Thomas Huynh, 57, of Wethersfield, Connecticut, beloved husband for 37 years of Anh Q. Thi, passed away on Saturday, November 25th, 2023 after a difficult battle with cancer. Born in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on July 8th, 1966, he was the loving son of Huynh Phung. Thomas embarked on a treacherous journey from Vietnam to the United States by boat in 1987, where he established a fulfilling life filled with love and dedication to his family.
Despite the distance, Thomas was a committed man who never forgot his cultural roots and honored his promises to his family back home. He was a man of many languages and cultures who loved sharing the joys of Vietnamese and Chinese food, music, media, and hobbies with anyone who was interested.
Thomas was a proud man who commonly boasted about his work, regardless of his profession. Whether it was cooking meals at a restaurant, catering for weddings or managing inventory for Amazon, he took great pride in doing a job well done. Thomas was also a curious man who loved to share his experiences with others. Whether that was learning about the applications of new technology or cooking a new dish for his family, he wanted to spread joy to family near and far.
He is survived by his wife Anh; two sons, Jimmy and Nick Huynh and two dogs, Coco and Cookie, along with his many brothers, sisters, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Any flowers or gifts can be sent to the funeral chapel for delivery to the family. Donations in Thomas’s memory can be given to the family to be donated to the temple supporting the passing rituals.
