Stephen "Steve" C. Hart

Stephen C. “Steve” Hart Jr., 68, longtime Wethersfield resident, loving husband to Tammy (Pollard) Coffey, peacefully passed away Sunday, October 8, 2023 at his Loris, SC home, after a long battle with diabetes. Born and raised in Wethersfield, Steve was the son of the late Stephen C. Sr. and Juanita (Harter) Hart.

Steve enjoyed a successful work career of over thirty years, beginning as a grunt with the Hart Seed Company in Wethersfield, continuing his work journey in the energy industry. He was employed by the following companies, BHI Energy, Master Lee Energy, Intech International, Westinghouse Electric, Combustion Engineering, and Hamilton Standard.

Along with his wife Tammy, Steve is survived by two brothers, Timothy Hart with his wife Laurie and Michael Hart; nephew, Daniel Hart; niece, Jennifer Hart with her fiancé Marco Buendia and his brother-in-law, Joseph Pollard, as well as many cousins.

Steve was a kind, generous, and helpful individual who was loved by many. He enjoyed tinkering with computers, motorcycles, and carpentry. He enjoyed riding his Harley and helping others with various projects. Most important was time with his family. He will be forever missed.

Calling hours will Saturday, October 28 from 9-11 a.m. concluding with a Prayer Service at 11 a.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield. Interment will follow in the family plot in Village Cemetery, Wethersfield.
