Shirley Beisel (Maynard)

Shirley (Maynard) Beisel, 90, of Rocky Hill, wife of George Beisel Jr., died Thursday (April 5, 2012) at home in Rocky Hill with her loving family at her side. Born in Great Barrington, MA, she was the daughter of the late Clifford A. and Clara (Sabin) Maynard and lived in Falls Village, Hartford, Middletown, Wethersfield, Charlestown, RI for 20 years prior to moving to Rocky Hill. Shirley was a 1939 graduate of Wethersfield High School. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Wethersfield Junior Women's Club, the Elm Tree Women's Club, the Elm Tree Garden Club, the Wethersfield Garden Club and was a charter member of St. Andrews Lutheran Church in Charlestown, RI. Besides George J. Beisel Jr, her husband of 70 years, she is survived by two sons, Craig Beisel and his wife Mary of Wilsonville, OR and Robert Beisel of Rocky Hill; four grandchildren, Kimberley Beisel Arscott, Raymond Beisel, Christine Mathews and Christopher Beisel; 16 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Clifford R. Maynard.

Calling hours will be held Thursday, April 12 from 4-7 p.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield. Funeral services and burial will be private.
