Laura Kirsche Hart, 34, of Wethersfield, loving wife of six years of Patrick M. Hart, peacefully passed away unexpectedly from a brief illness on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at Hartford Hospital. Born in Hartford on March 29, 1987, a daughter of Stephen A. and Martha (Steigerwald) Kirsche, she had been a life-long resident of Wethersfield. Laura was a graduate of Wethersfield High School, class of 2005 where she excelled in track and basketball. She went on to earn both her Bachelors and Master’s degrees in Education in 2010 from the NEAG School at the University of Connecticut. A woman of strong faith, Laura was a longtime communicant of The Church of the Incarnation in Wethersfield.
Laura faced life head-on, and always with a smile. During her time at UCONN, she traveled with her best friend Blair to London to intern at Whittingham Community Primary School. Laura was a devoted and beloved teacher in the Glastonbury Public School system for the better part of a decade. Throughout her life, she was a teacher both in and out of the classroom. In her final lesson, she taught those closest to her the meaning of courage and grace. She was passionate about many things and dedicated to personal growth, earning her second master’s degree only two short months ago. She was one of the best three-point shooters in Wethersfield High School history - but you would never hear it from her. She lived her short 34 years to the fullest, approaching every occasion as a celebration and establishing new traditions along the way. She showered her nieces and nephews with love and undivided attention. To know Laura is to know the importance of family, beginning with the love of her life, Patrick. Laura knew she found her soulmate when he proposed to her in front of a crowded auditorium at her favorite place on Earth, Naubuc Elementary School in Glastonbury. She was a selfless mother to her three young Harts. Her sustaining good cheer and positive outlook were the guiding light for her family and everyone she touched. Her legacy assures that Milly, Josie and Will will know the sunshine she brought into the world.
Along with her beloved husband Pat and her parents all of Wethersfield, Laura is survived by her three cherished children, Amelia Martha Hart, Josephine Gail Hart, and William Stephen Hart all at home in Wethersfield; a brother, Stephen A. Kirsche, Jr. and his wife Sharon of Portland; two sisters, Melissa Albright and her husband Brandon of Wethersfield, Rebecca Weaver and her husband Stephen of Wethersfield; her Swedish sister, Camilla Hermelin of Sweden; ten adored nieces and nephews, Luke and Rowan Kirsche, Abigail, Maddy, and Elliot Albright, Avery, Seth, and Neilan Weaver, Ella and Jaxon Hart. She also leaves her father-in-law and mother-in-law, William P. and Gail (Chapman) Hart of Hanover, MA; a brother-in-law, William J. Hart and his wife Felicia of Martha’s Vineyard, MA; a sister-in-law, Keriann Hart of Rockland, MA; her best friend from Kindergarten, Blair Izard; many aunts (especially her Great Aunt Rodell), uncles, cousins, former students, and dear friends.
