Cesareo Valentini, 94, longtime resident of Wethersfield and beloved husband to Angela (DiMauro) Valentini for 68 years, entered into a peaceful rest on Monday, April 22, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Siracusa, Italy on June 1, 1929, he was the son of the late Giovanni Sbona and Sebastiana Iaia. Cesareo grew up in Siracusa until he came to the United States in January of 1968.
Cesareo was a skilled barber until his retirement in 1994. He was an avid runner and participated in many half and full marathons. He was dedicated to his exercise routine and loved spending time working out. He loved spending time outside and taking care of his lawn, spending lots of time in his garden tending meticulously to his vegetables. Above all, Cesareo cherished his time with his children and grandchildren.
A loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Cesareo will be greatly missed by his cherished son, John Valentini and his wife Dawn (Hayward) Valentini and his beloved daughter, Anna Laurie and her husband Matthew Laurie; his adored grandchildren, Jovanni and his wife Lauren, Nishan and his wife Andrea, Rudy and his fiancée Lindsey, Stephanie and her husband Brent, Eric and his wife Kristen, Melissa and her husband Jamieson, Matthew, Jake, Donato, and Chez; his cherished great-grandchildren, Cristiano, Marcello, Isabella, Maeve, Jennie, Juliette, Nick, and many beloved relatives back home in Italy. Cesareo was predeceased by his beloved son, Rodolfo Valentini.
