Bill and Mary Anne enjoyed 48 years of marriage, raising their daughters with warmth and encouragement, and watching their grandchildren grow. He traveled with family and drove across the US many times—camping, visiting most national parks, and active outdoors with photography, biking, kayaking, and skiing. He was an eagle scout and active in his community.
Bill taught science at River Dell Senior High School for 34 years, including chemistry and AP Environmental Science–graded AP exams and published lab manual. He loved learning and inspired others to reach their potential and make a difference. He was a baseball coach at River Dell, refereed soccer, coached Academic Decathlon, and spent many summers managing the Oradell Swim Club.
Bill was a talented artist, a painter, carver of duck decoys, and according to his grandson, an expert Lego builder.
Bill loved life, and our lives are richer because of him.
