It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of Sardayeah Ramnarine Singh of G Street, Fanny Village, Point Fortin, Trinidad and Tobago. She passed away on December 8th, 2024 at the age of 80 at her daughter's residence in New Jersey, USA. She was born on March 11th, 1944, to Joseph and Soonia Ramnarine Singh at Irois Forest, Chatham, Trinidad and Tobago.
She was the most cherished wife of Lalbeharry Singh (Tokes/Bob-boy).She was the beloved mother of Johnny Singh and Riah (Annie) Singh-Lopez, and much loved mother in law of Angel Lopez. "Nanny" was the treasured grandmother of Raquel and Ravi Lopez. Dalo was also the nurturing step mother of Lydiah (Toolie), Beeran (Donald) and Kishan (Herbie). She leaves to mourn her three surviving siblings Lal (Susan), Mynee (Ramesh) and Ben (Miriam). She was predeceased by her sisters: Girlin (Lal), Toylin (Bhim) and Min (Dave), brothers: Boysie (Shiela), Mikey (Beryl), Sam (Ann), Deo and Harry. She was also the adored aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Sardayeah was fondly known as "Dalo" to her family and friends,as well as "Miss Singh" to the many children she taught at her very own "Kings and Queens" Montessori School at Fanny Village, Point Fortin. She was known for her dedication to her religion, being an invaluable member of the Hindu temples in the area, especially the Cap de Ville Sai Center and Cap de Ville Hindu Temple. She lived a life filled with love, laughter, and creativity which was evident in her Singh's " brand" of local wine. In addition her ambition led her to pursue and develop an interest in the field of handicrafts. Her craftsmanship was evident in the quilt making and her talents as a local artisan were featured in the many floral arrangements she created and gifted. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing and serving her, especially Jason Jupiter and Ms. Debra.
Family and friends are invited to gather to pay their last respects on Thursday December 12th,
2024. Funeral service will start at 10:00 am at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Rd,
Westwood, NJ 07675. Cremation will follow at The Garden State Crematory, 4101 John F
Kennedy Blvd, North Bergen, NJ 07047 at 11:45am.
Sardayeah may be gone from our sight but her spirit will live on in the hearts and memories of those who loved her.
