Looking back we didn’t talk that much but you were always a friendly face in the halls and in class. Hope all is well up there, rest easy. RIP Shoop you’re missed and thought about brother

Hello Ms Shoop,
So deeply saddened by your loss. I will always remember how proudly you spoke of him. My deepest condolences to you and your family.

At such a big school with so many people, I feel so fortunate that I met Shoop at the beginning of my freshman year. In such a big new place, we always had each other from the very beginning. Shoop made sure there was never a dull moment. His humor and positive attitude made such an impact on my daily life and I need him with me. He was my best friend at school and I will miss him more than anything.

My brother introduced me to Shoop last Spring after telling me all about him since their Freshman year at Clemson. He told me of how fun, kind, and generous Ryan was and how I had to meet him. I am so lucky to have met Shoop and to have gotten so close with him. He was just as special as my brother told me and more. He was the best friend two guys could have asked for and we will miss him greatly.

I am devastated to hear of Ryan’s passing. I fondly remember Ryan’s smile especially when he ever so quietly would crack a joke only to be heard by those sitting close to him in class. I also knew all was well as I heard his classmates call out “Shoop!” in the hallways as he walked by. We have truly lost a ray of sun with Ryan’s passing.  Austin and Mr. & Mrs. Shoop, please accept my deepest condolences and my prayers.

Ryan was a great friend. I never thought I’d wind up spending nearly every night and weekend with some kid I bumped into while walking across campus one day. He was hilarious and Clemson misses him.
