Rita D. Fanelli

FANELLI, Rita, 98, of Park Ridge, NJ, on Saturday, July 9, 2016. Born in New York City, Rita was raised in Brooklyn and graduated from Bay Ridge High School. After retiring from J.P. Morgan as hostess of the executive dining room, Rita moved to Whiting, NJ where she became involved in various activities at Crestwood Village Four clubhouse. She served as an officer of the woman’s club, the travel club, the sewing club and the billiards club, while pursuing her interests in card playing and reading groups. Rita was also a proud member of Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Manchester Township. Rita is survived by her son, Paul Fanelli of Norwood, NJ and his wife Barbara; daughter Christine Machorek of Westwood, NJ; five grandchildren: Peter Fanelli, Jana Fanelli, Michael Machorek, Susan Hardin, Andreas Fanelli; and five great granddaughters: Kaela Fanelli, Adriana Fanelli, Olivia Fanelli, Molly Hardin, Claire Hardin. Another devoted family member who survives Rita is her niece Jo-Anne Stathis of Astoria, NY. Rita’s husband Frank predeceased her. Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Victories Church on Thursday, July 14 at 10:30 a.m. The family will receive relatives and friends at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Wednesday, July 13 from 3-6 p.m. Charitable donations to Our Lady of Victories Church, 81 Lynn Street, Harrington Park, NJ 07640 are deeply appreciated.
