Paul grew up in Nutley, attended St. Mary's School, Essex Catholic High School, and graduated from St. John's University. After graduation Paul followed his heart and moved cross country to Boulder Colorado where he lived for many years. He became a monk within the Sacred Heart Ashram community and dedicated his life to religious studies and practices. He returned home to Nutley in 2000.
Paul was a free spirit and lived everyday pursuing perfect love. He was a prolific poet who centered his attentions on religious reflections. His writings always exuded messages of peace, contentment, love, and unity. Anyone who received one of his poems was truly blessed. Paul was a kind and gentle soul. He spoke little but always paid attention and was a keen observer of life. His generosity outweighed his common sense sometimes as he was always willing to share or donate whatever he had to anyone in need. Paul's smile was unforgettable! There is so much more that should be said, but in the end, what he did was make our world brighter.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph, and Veronica Davies. Paul will be sorely missed by his brothers, Joseph (and Robin), William (and Mary Pat), Robert (and Pamela) and John (and Charlene) and his sister, Mary (and Walter). Paul also leaves many nephews, nieces and great nephews and nieces.
A private cremation was held. Paul is now at peace. . . and we will miss him.
