Marie Lawton

Marie Lawton was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She died peacefully at home in her sleep on November 12, 2024, at the age of 96. She was born to John and Anna Bello on September 15, 1928. After graduating from Hackensack High School, Marie attended Barbizon modeling school in NYC and worked as a model until she met the love of her life, Paul.Together they had three amazing children who were raised in Hackensack until they moved to Haworth. Marie loved spending time in the kitchen and cooked great meals for her friends and family. Later in life she moved to Lanoka Harbor with her husband Paul and enjoyed gardening, her pets, living on the water, and spending time with her family.

Marie is survived by Pat Lampert and husband Cary, Bill Lawton and wife Kristen, Karen Meyers and husband Mark. Cherished grandmother to Jason Lampert and fiancé Jessica Davis, Evan Lampert and wife Victoria, Cristen Koleda and husband Darek, Jessica O’Neill and husband Dan, Sarah Singh and husband Kishan, and Paul Lawton, Connor Meyers and Casey Meyers, along with five beautiful great grandchildren, Tyler, Luke, Samantha, Emmett and Grady. A visitation for Marie will be held Monday, November 18, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ 07675. A Mass of Christian burial will occur Tuesday, November 19, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at St. Gabriel the Archangel's Roman Catholic Church, 88 E Saddle River Rd, Saddle River, NJ 07458. A Mausoleum Entombment will occur Tuesday, November 19, 2024 from 12:30 PM to 12:45 PM at Garden of Memories, 300 Soldier Hill Rd, Township of Washington, NJ 07676.
