Madeline Chicarello

CHICARELLO Madeline (nee Carty), born in Union City, NJ, age 86, of River Vale, NJ, on Friday, March 25, 2011. Beloved wife of the late John L. Chicarello. Devoted mother of Nancy Chicarello and the late Laura Chicarello. Dear sister of Doris Thornstrom. Loving aunt of Michael, Anthony, Christine, Joanne, Beth Ann and the late Steven Thornstrom. Also survived by ten great-nieces and nephews. Madeline was a member of the River Vale Community Evangelical Free Church where she taught Sunday School, Pioneer Girls for many years, served on the Women's Missionary Society, a loyal member for many years on the Missions Committee, and Bible study was her place to be on Tuesdays for 40 years. Madeline was a retired secretary from Roberge School, River Vale, NJ, from 1968 to 1985. Service at River Vale Community Evangelical Free Church, 600 Rivervale Road and New Street, River Vale, NJ on Wednesday at 10 AM. Interment George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ. The family will receive their friends at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ, on Tuesday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions to River Vale Community Evangelical Free Church would be appreciated.
