The piping industry and Local #274 lost a great man with the passing of John Stiles.  John and I worked together for many years.  He was the best at whatever task he tackled.  He was a good man, tried and true.  Rest in peace John, the task is complete.

So Sorry to read of the passing of John Stiles.My Heart felt Condolences go out to Micheal & His Family and All The Stiles Family & Relatives of John Stiles. I respected Him not only as a Business Agent but as A Person and a Friend.He’s a Good Family Man. I know He will be Missed and Remembered for a Long Time .I for one won’t forget Him. The few phone calls I got from Him for work whether for a couple days or weeks always lead to years of Employment. They always started with “ Do Me a Favor”We had some ups and downs, They always ended with a Hand Shake ,  Smile and Respect for each other.I remember one time as I was driving Home on route 80 , I got a phone call from Him about a ladder I had on my pickup.I was shocked! After getting a riot speech from Him, I told Him , I was stealing that Ladder.He laughed and said Forget I called You. I still have that Ladder.Back in the late 70s He was also helpful with me Collecting Money from The VA for Attending  Apprenticeship Trade School. We all will experience The Passing of Someone We love or liked . It will take time to adjust to the Fact of One’s Passing. It’s the Memories that will keep them living in Our Mind. I for one, will never forget John. He’s just one of Good Ones. Rest in Peace My Friend I owe You with the Greatest Respect …. Jack

I am honored that I could call John Stiles my father-in-law and to be part of this family.  John has always put family first. He's so loved and respected within his family, and with Pipefitters Local 274.  So many memories to cherish, but one of my favorites is when he would tell one of his many  jokes and he would have that twinkle in his eyes.  Thank you for the love and memories. Rest in Peace Dad. My sincere condolences to the Stiles family. John was an amazing person and friend.  We had the honor of meeting him and Cathy when we bought our house and for many years. John loved my deceased husband Bob and was always so caring and kind to him and my whole family. RIP friend-neighbor.

John was my first year apprentice school instructor in 1975. We hit it off right from the start. He served Local 274 and its members in the finest tradition of a labor union leader and brother.
