Grace Williamson

WILLIAMSON, Grace, 95, of Park Ridge, NJ quietly passed away from natural causes at her home Friday, November 30, 2018. Grace is predeceased by her parents Michael and Mary Attas, her husband Wade and sister Margaret Redard. She is survived by her daughters Bonnie Unger and her husband Ken of Montvale, NJ and Linda Mackey of Park Ridge, NJ; her grandchildren Glenn Unger and his wife Tracy of River Vale, NJ, Brett Unger and his wife Nancy of Montvale, NJ and Kristi Cicala and her husband Louis of Emerson, NJ; her great-grandchildren Kaitlin, Shayla, Ashley, Wade, Chelsea and Max Unger and Louis Samantha and Nicholas Cicala as well as her nephews Michael and Kenneth Redard of Hankins, NY. Grace graduated school in Montvale, growing up during the depression while working hard and passing along her discipline and work ethic. As a young girl, she cleaned homes and drove military personnel to and from Camp Shanks, Orangeburg, NY to the train station during WWII. Grace was affectionately known to all as ‘BaBa’. She was an avid gardener, magnificent cook, delicious baker and creator of crafts that she lovingly shared with family and friends. She was known for giving memorable Christmas Eve parties attended by family, friends, neighbors and towns people. A member of the Park Ridge Golden Agers for over 20 years, she was admired and looked up to for her sense of humor, sharing of recipes and years of interesting life experiences. She loved her wood burning stove in the winter and in the summer grew a show-stopping vegetable garden she generously shared with anyone who asked. Grace worked tirelessly as a waitress for over 20 years at the Haworth Country Club and loved being with her co-workers and club members. A true matriarch; she was the one constant everyone could always count on to share her wisdom. She loved her family unconditionally and will be terribly missed. The family will receive guests at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Rd., Westwood on Wednesday, December 5th from 2-4 and 7-9PM.
