George was a family man who took great pride in being a husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend to many. George lived by example: he respected authority, encouraged individualism, and loved unconditionally. With his wife Corinne, their house was “home” to many, and he was always present in the moment to enjoy life’s blessings.
George grew up in Union City graduating from Union Hill High School in 1956. He was employed by the Equitable Life Assurance Society starting as a Messenger in New York City. George attended Fairleigh Dickinson University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BS degree in Accounting.
At the Equitable, George obtained a broad based and diversified Senior Management experience in Computer Services, Systems Development, Project Leadership, Facilities Management and Corporate Service. His most coveted accomplishment was executing a 5-year project for the creation of a stand-alone Computer Center in Leonia. George continued to lead Technical Services until his retirement in 1990.
George was also known for his many years of volunteering his skills for the betterment of his Church, town, and county. He focused on programming that supported the youth, where he tried to give them the tools to become good citizens.
