VELTHAUS, Edward H., 81, on Saturday, December 31, 2016 of River Vale. Beloved husband of the late Joan (nee Young). Devoted father of Janet Celentano, Edward, Jr., Stephen and wife Andrea and predeceased by his son Fred. Dear brother of Kay Velthaus, Trudy Linda and predeceased by his sister Elizabeth DeSousa. Loving grandfather of Erik, Stefani, Anthony, Vinnie, Jenna, Matthew, Michael and Lindsay. Great Grandfather of Clark. Born in New York City, he lived in Fair Lawn before moving to River Vale in 1959. Edward was a printer for Ranno Printing, Englewood for 30 years, retiring in 2000. He was a long time parishioner of R.C. Churchof the Assumption, Emerson, a member of the Knights of Columbus and a coach for River Vale Raiders Jr. Football League. Edward served in the US Army . Visitation at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday at R.C. Church of the Assumption at 10:00 am. Interment Maryrest Cemetery, Mahwah.
